Alumni Update
Mathew Miller (JC '11), a post graduate student at the US Naval Academy Prep School in Rhode Island, turned some heads this past weekend by beating a USNA senior, in a scrimmage. Mathew's opponent is ranked as high as 9th in the NCAA's Division I, and was one match away from becoming an All American last season. Nice job Mat.
Ethan Reese (JC '09), Matt Bodt (JC '08) and Brock Brooks ('JC '08) helped the Salisbury State Rugby teamwin their 5th match this season to remain undefeated. Saiisbury put a 39-5 beating on UMBC in Baltimore on Saturday.
Eric Hart (JC '09) recorded a 30 yd feild goal and averaged 63.6 yards on kick offs, in SSU's 7th win this season. The undefeated Gulls are ranked #10 in division III
Weber To Super 32
JC, jr, George Weber takes on the country's best high school age wrestlers at the Super 32 Tournament, in Greensboro, NC. Approximately 1500 wrestlers will compete in the event. Good luck, George!
Preseason Practices Come To An End
This will be the final week of pre-season training for 16 JC Wrestlers practicing with Romanian, Lau Palade in Oxford, PA. The group began practicing on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in Oxford, PA on Sept 13th
Regular Season Right Around The Corner
The JC Wrestling team will take next week off to recharge thier batteries before a week of 'off the mat' training starting Nov 7th. Actual practices begin with a double session on Saturday, November 12. November's practice schedule can be found at: www.johncarrollwrestling.com under "Coach's Corner". There will be a Parent's Meeting from 10:00-11:00 on the 12th as well.
